We seek teachers that are certified educators or pursuing degrees in education.

Crystal Sauceda is the lead toddler teacher.

She is a native of Salado, graduating from SISD in 2006 where she participated in band and sports activities.
Her quiet nurturing attitude makes her a favorite with her 12 to 24 month olds.  She encourages the basic skills of walking, talking, eating and potty training.  She has lots of patience for her active group of toddlers.  She has received several training hours in the benefits of providing toddler learning experiences and supporting their growth and learning environment.

Cynthia Sauceda is our high school aide and tutor.

She really excels in geometry; therefore she really encourages the math skills of the children.  She helps support the teachers in their classroom schedules and then helps our school agers with homework by encouraging their academic skills that support their school success. Her desire is to learn more about the Early Childhood Profession and to excel by providing care to the children.
Miranda  Valero-Pre-Kindergarten lead teacher

Miranda has one year previous experience in the childcare profession and perusing her CDA (Child Development Accreditation) from Temple Junior College. Her desire to become director is her goal.  She has helped to create her class from the state required pre-K guidelines. Incorporating pre-readiness skills that support reading and writing to her rich ABEKA curriculum.

Rhonda Reynolds- Assistant Director

Rhonda has her BS from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor plus 25 years of experience in the classroom and owning a Childcare center.  She believes in the importance of the early childhood years by creating a fun, safe and caring learning environment. She has always had a passion for children and has shared this with other childcare providers through training by sharing her experiences and techniques.  Rhonda served as President and secretary of the Central Texas Association for the Education of Young Child and is a member of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children).  She has been involved in the profession through memberships and activities promoting the importance of early education for the last 25 years.

Pat Archer-Cook

Pat is a retired hairdresser having a interest in children and nutrition.  She cooks and plans our delicious, nutritional meals and snacks according to nutritional guidelines. She also supports our staff during meal times by encouraging proper etiquette and table manners.

Naomi Benevides-Specialty  teacher

Naomi, her husband and two children have been Salado residents for the past five years.  She started as an aide to the classrooms learning classroom management from the ground up.  She also helped with the preparation of meals and snacks.
After attending several trainings for age appropriate activities and childcare best practices, she advanced to creating the three year old classroom.  Her joy of teaching is apparent everyday to her tremendous three year olds.
Debra Hughes-Director

Debra has her one year certification in Early Childhood Education from Central Texas College. With her 27 years of experience and training hours she has received her Directors Certification.  Debra has been teaching, supporting and enjoying children for 27 years.  She has served on the Head Start Education Board promoting her advocacy for Early Childhood.
